Installer Crew Lead

Position Overview:

As a Crew Leader, you will be the face of SES on the jobsite and lead the installation team in building our high-quality solar PV systems across the DMV area. You will be responsible for safely executing all aspects of solar construction in the field, including safety setup, material loading, racking & module installation, conduit, wiring, and groundwork.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead our construction crews on-site to ensure tasks are completed according to project timelines
  • Ensure the welfare of crew members and that all safety requirements are being met
  • Install racking systems per manufacturer’s specifications and SES plans on a variety of roof types and slopes
  • Install DC and AC equipment per plans, local codes, and SES best practices
  • Communicate and coordinate with contractors and homeowners on-site
  • Educate junior crew members with hands-on training
  • Ensure systems are built neatly and with the ability to last 25 years
  • Commission systems, including Enphase and SolarEdge
  • Test system components while the system is operational

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of solar construction experience
  • 1-3 years in a people leadership position
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Must be able to work in the US
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR to operate company vehicles
  • Advanced knowledge of federal construction safety regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of residential or commercial PV design and components

Compensation & Benefits

  • $26.50-$30.00/hour with potential for overtime
