Solar Energy Services was contacted by Mabey’s Director of Operations to install a solar system on their Headquarters in Howard County, Maryland. The system consists of solar modules installed on two separate roof areas; one pitched and one flat. The flat roof utilizes a fully ballasted racking system in order to avoid roof penetrations. The main office/headquarters uses a traditional attached racking system. The project was constructed without interruption to Mabey’s daily work site operations. The company chose to independently own the solar system so they could take advantage of current financial incentives. The system offsets 76% of the combined volumetric load of both buildings.
